Apple Leave iOS Name and Use iPhone OS Name Again?
A technology analyst, with the @jon_prosser account divulging that in the WWDC 2020 event that will be held shortly, Apple is rumored to be leaking and predicting about the technology a year ahead.
Reported by Apple Insider, Apple will change the name from iPhone to Apple Phone. Not only that, his operating system, iOS, will also be renamed iPhone OS.
This is also supported by Apple's decision to separate the tablet operating system with the name iPad OS since last year. Therefore, there is an opinion that Apple wants to emphasize the differences in the operating system on the iPad and iPhone.

Not only Prosser, one of the other gadget analyst named Max Weinbach claimed to get similar news where Apple will change the name of its iPhone products. Weinbach also claimed that he did not believe in this rumor.
"I got news saying that Apple will change the name iOS to iPhone OS and iPhone to Apple Phone, I don't believe it," wrote Max Weinbach on his Twitter account.
According to Weinbach, the iPhone itself has now become a very strong brand so it is very unlikely
that Apple will replace it
For information, the name of the iPhone OS itself is actually used by the company in the early generation of the iPhone, but the company then changed it to iOS in June 2010.
